Sandstone
Sandstone accounts for 10-15 per cent of all sedimentary rock in the Earth's crust and typically occurs as stratified layers of sand particles, held together by various mineral cements. It is deposited in different environments, from high mountain rivers and lakes, to seas and oceans. Sandstone can be classified according to its grain size and composition and is mainly used in elevations.
